Dauphin Island Marina will host the 24th annual Conde Cavalier Mardi Gras Fishing Rodeo on the 12th and 13th of August.
The fishing starts Saturday morning August 12, at 6am and runs through Sunday afternoon August 13, at 5pm. The weigh in station will open at 10am on Saturday, closing at 6pm. Sunday's weigh in hours are 10am through tournament close at 5pm.
An awards ceremony will begin immediately following Sunday's weigh in. Anglers will compete for prizes through 5th place in all categories except King Mackerel, where awards go out to 8th place. In addition to the regular competition there will be a bonus prize of $100 for the first fish to break the Alabama state record in its category.
All category winners are eligible for an additional $500 prize drawing. The 9th annual Michael T. Dowdy Mystery Fish Award will go to the winner drawn from the list of 20 category winners.
Tickets for the 24th annual Conde Cavalier Fishing Rodeo are $20 per person for the entire weekend.

Tickets will be available at Ship and Shore on Dauphin Island right up to the event start time, 6am on Saturday, August 12th.
