This Saturday the Dauphin Island Marina will play host to the ninth annual Kids Wish'n to Go Fish'n event. Thirty kids from various south Alabama Boys and Girls clubs will be treated to a fishing trip.
Out on the water they will learn the finer points of fishing the Gulf of Mexico. About 25 local area boaters will take part in the tournament.
The object of the program is to teach a kid to fish, and when they have free time they will go fishing instead of getting into mischief. They will know how and have the tackle to go fishing. We have 25 boats that will participate with more than 20 local and national sponsors contributing fishing tackle to the event.
