Wheelchair accessible lodging - Are there any houses or condos with elevators or are accessible for people with physical disabilities.
This will vary greatly depending on the property you're interested in. We are not fully aware of the degree to which each property on Dauphin Island is accessible or ADA compliant.
The beach side condos - notably the Dauphin Island Beach Club and The Inn at Dauphin Island - are served by elevators. In addition, these properties have first floor units which are accessible from both island and beach sides of the building.
We believe that some of the west end vacation homes are served by elevators. Your best bet for learning which ones have elevators and are available for rent will be to contact one of the Dauphin Island real estate companies.
Another place to check for Dauphin Island lodging possibilities is the Dauphin Island Condos web site. Some of the vacation rental owners who list their properties there may indicate whether their particular condo or property is accessible
