The beach has always been one of my favorite places on earth. The beach is why we love Dauphin Island so much. Standing there on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, looking out over the surf, wind in my face and Dauphin Island's warm white sand tickling my feet. There is something really special about the beach.
And maybe it's that something special that makes couples want to be married on the beach these days. It's a trend on the rise. And it's a trend I can understand. A beach wedding would have been our choice when we got married, if we'd only even conceived the idea way back then.
